Photography Workshop: Executing Your Creative Voice
Join us for an interactive online workshop with Photographer Kanya Iwana + Guest Speakers!
WORKSHOP DATES: MID TO LATE JANUARY | LOCATION: ONLINE
Workshop Details:
In a world where artists are forced to constantly create content, we often neglect the importance of building a foundation: our voice.
The question of “what sets you apart?” will always have an ever-changing answer, depending on where you are in life; as art does imitate it. However, the goal through this workshop is to be able to pinpoint what that is as you’re dealt a task and map out your ideas through a concise yet informative Concept.
Over the course of 3 weeks, this photography workshop goes beyond Photography 101 Technique, but goes deeper into the philosophy of an assignment, storytelling, as well as creative direction.
Through Lecture Sessions, 1:1 Mentorship, and Project Building, Participants will learn to navigate the creative process in a mindful, expansive yet efficient way.
THE THREE PILLARS OF THE WORKSHOP:
-
Lecture Sessions will focus on Photography and Creative Philosophy. We will discuss the reasoning behind a project or series, approaching creativity from an analytical standpoint. From finding inspiration to picking your tools, Participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of artistic intention, able to put their own ideas into a Treatment. (Guests Speakers will be included in the Lecture Sessions)
-
On the weekdays, Participants will schedule a 1-on-1 “office hours” to primarily discuss their Final Project. We are open to workshop-related inquiries and some industry questions as well.
-
Participants will present their Final Project at the end of their 3rd week. We will discuss the details of the project in the beginning of the workshop.
